MIDAS LIFETIME MUFFLER
Your new Midas Muffler is warranted by Midas to you, the original purchaser, for as long as you own the vehicle on which the muffler has been installed.WHAT IS COVERED
If your Midas Muffler fails to perform properly during the warranty period, Midas will install a new, warranted Midas Muffler on your vehicle. You will not be charged for the muffler and only pay for the labor required to install.WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty does not cover exhaust or tail pipes, hangers or other exhaust system components which may be required at the time of replacement. The Midas Muffler and Brake Shop must restore the exhaust system to its proper operation. If you do not authorize the installation of other needed parts, you will receive a non-installed and non-warranted muffler.
WARRANTY PERIOD
Your new Economizer Muffler is warranted by Midas to you, the original purchaser, for one year from the date of installation.WHAT IS COVERED
If your Economizer Muffler fails to perform properly during the warranty period ,Midas will install a new, warranted Economizer Muffler on your vehicle. You will not be charged for the muffler and only pay for the labor required to instal.WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty does not cover exhaust or tail pipes, hangers, or other exhaust system components which may be required at the time of replacement. The Midas shop must restore the exhaust system to its proper operation. If you do not authorize the installation of other needed parts, you will receive a non-installed and non-warranted muffler.
MIDAS CATALYTIC CONVERTER WARRANTY PERIOD
Your new Midas Catalytic Converter was designed and manufactured to meet all applicable emmision reduction requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and warranted by Midas to meet these reduction requirements for 25,000 miles when the vehicle is properly maintained. The external converter shell of your Midas Catalytic Converter is warranted by Midas for 5 years or 50,000 miles from the date of installation, whichever comes first. Midas also warrants that the cayalytic converter will not constitute a safety hazard.WHAT IS COVERED
If within the applicable warranty period, your Midas Catalytic Converter fails to meet EPA emission reduction requirements as determined by an EPA approved, local or state inspection agency, or the converter component fails, Midas will replace the converter with a new Midas Catalytic Converter.WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty does not cover replacement
- If leaded gasoline is used.
- If blown out by backfire or other faulty engine condition.
- If vehicle is not properly maintained.
- If vehicle is not operated according to vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
- If converter is damaged due to accident, road debris,, negligence, misuse or abuse.
Muffler, exhaust pipes, tail pipes, hangers, adapters, connectors, resonators, other exhaust components or other emission control related parts which may be necessary at time of replacement.Non-Midas Catalytic Converters (special applications, dealer supplied parts, or specialty after-market units) have individual warranty specifications. See shop manager or unit manufacturer for details.Incidental or consequential damages: This warranty is in lieu of any implied warranty of mechantability fitness for a particular purpose or other warranty of quality.
The Midas shop is required by law to store the replaced converter at the shop for 15 days following installation.
